Warranty Period and Eligibility
The five-year warranty begins on the date of the original repair shown on your Fix It Right Garage Doors invoice.
Coverage applies to the original purchaser of the repair service at the original service address. The warranty cannot be transferred to another person or property.
Keep Your Original Invoice
Your invoice identifies the repair date, service address and parts installed. Having the invoice or job number available can help our team review your claim more quickly.

Manufacturer Warranties
Some garage door panels, opener motors and opener components include a separate warranty from the original manufacturer. Brands may include LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Genie and other manufacturers serviced by our team.

Garage Door Warranty FAQs
What does the five-year garage door repair warranty cover?
It generally covers eligible parts supplied and installed by Fix It Right Garage Doors, along with the labour performed for the original paid repair. The specific parts and services covered are identified on your invoice.
When does the five-year warranty begin?
The warranty starts on the original repair date shown on your invoice and applies at the original service address.
Is the garage door warranty transferable?
No. The warranty applies to the original purchaser of the repair service and cannot be transferred to another customer or property.
Does the warranty cover vehicle impact damage?
No. Damage caused by a vehicle, collision or another external physical impact is not considered a failure of a part installed during the original repair.
What happens if another company adjusts the garage door?
Third-party work, customer adjustment or tampering can void coverage for the affected components. Call Fix It Right before anyone else adjusts a repaired part or continues operating a damaged door.
Are garage door opener motors covered for five years?
Coverage depends on the component installed, the original invoice and the age of the opener. Manufacturer warranties may apply separately to some motors and opener components.
Will I be charged for an approved warranty visit?
An approved claim involving a covered part or covered labour is scheduled at no additional charge during the warranty period.
How do I start a warranty claim?
Call (289) 301-7844 as soon as the issue is noticed. Provide your invoice or job number and describe the problem to our service coordinator.
